RUSLAN KHASANOV: PORTRAITS

Is it a photo? No. It's just one of the most amazing gradient mesh illustrations I've ever seen. This piece is part of a larger series titled portraits, check them. That is all.

COLORCUBIC: LOGO & ALBUM ARTWORK FOR A GAP BETWEEN

I'm loving this sythy/80s revival in music that's hitting the fringes of electro. And along with the music comes the awesome artwork. I hadn't heard of A Gap Between before but as soon as I saw this artwork I new what I was in for, and a quick visit to youtube proved me right! Well done to Colorcubic for nailing this, visual communication at its best. Check out more their tasty work here.

ERIC PALMER: 8-BIT MOVIE POSTERS

In light of my 8-bit tees I thought I'd post these epically cool 8-bit movie posters. There is something really quite humble about 8-bit graphics and I love that they have found a place in today's art world – although hopefully not to be over done. There are plenty more examples on Eric's behance page.

ANDREW VASILEV: MORNIN'

An awesome shot of an awesome muscle car, the Dodge Charger. Despite never really being a car guy, I'm loving 70s highway films. I really don't think they make cars like they used to – and this is a fine example. Andrew has lots more stuff worth checking out here.

COM TRUISE: POLYHURT

Just loving Com Truise at the moment, great to listen to when being creative. I wasn't convinced at first but I think the visuals work really well with this track. Enjoy.

ALL WORK AND NO PLAY MAKES JACK A THRALL BOY

A few months back I found myself staring at a poster of the above image and it occurred to me how vampiric Jack looks - I suppose that's half the point, anyone who is familiar with the film will agree that at this climatic point in the film Jack is at his most evil. So after applying some simple photoshop I present my Shining vampire parody t-shirt: All work and no play makes Jack a thrall boy. For anyone interested I've popped this onto a t-shirt over at redbubble (it will look like the above mock up – printed design dimensions may differ slightly).

SOMETHING I FOUND ON BODEGA

I don't know who it's by or what it's for but here it is for your viewing pleasure. Bodega is definitely worth a look.

JARED NICKERSON: DEAD ASTRONAUTS

A recent piece of work from one of the masters of vector – Jared Nickerson. Spend a long time here.

ATELIER OLSCHINSKY: OUTPOST

Some truly epic abstract landscapes of a futuristic world – that's my take on these pieces by Viennese studio Atelier Olschinsky anyway. I posted some of Atelier's work a while back and it's amazing to see how much their style has developed. The detail is incredible. See more of their work here.

LMD NEW WORK: SALLY ROSE LOGO

I thought I'd share a piece of my own work, it's been a while. This is a logo I designed for Jewellery designer, Sally Rose. My goal here was to design a unique logo that was reflective of her unique work.

DASE ROMAN SHERBAKOV

I came across these pieces on Behance and had to post them. Great style, use of colour and pretty amazing detail. Check out more here.

MAYA FIALA GRAU: MAKE THINGS HAPPEN

Some beautiful photography turned into some simple abstract digital art. Maya's desciption:
exquisitley surreal blending and mirroring of the female form.
I love how the simple technique of "mirroring" has produced such amazing results, always best to keep it simple. Check out more of Maya's work here.

REVOK: DIAMONDS

Some cool use of unwanted materials here by Revok. I'm sure these would have been as fun to construct as they are nice to look at. I love the idea of making art from what would be generally regarded by the greater population as rubbish. Check out more work and other treats on Revok's blog.

NATHAN MILLINER: THE SHINING

An awesome illustration by Nathan Milliner from one of my all time favourite movies, The Shining. Jack Nicholson was gold in this film. Check out more of Nathan's work here.

SAMUEL CARTER MENSAH: FUCK YEAH SUMMER TIME

A tasty piece of light hearted typography here from Samuel Carter Mensah. Has a nice 80s feel to it, which seems fitting after listening to Com Truise all morning. Samuel has some pretty awesome work, check it.

NEGRITOO: SKETCHBOOK PROJECT 2012

A nice piece of ink on paper here from Negritoo. It seems rare that I come across anything that is so back to basics these days. It's nice to see something that's a little raw, a great piece of tattoo are too! This was part of a series of similar sketches here.

MATTHIAS HEIDERICH: SPEKTRUM EINS

I've been loving this style of photography lately, at first glance it looks like some sort of vector wizardry, but then on closer inspection it becomes more obvious that it's photographic. See more of Matthias's work here and I should point out this is my second post of Matthias's work, see the other post here.

ONUR SENTURK: TRI▲NGLE

TRI▲NGLE from Onur Senturk on Vimeo.

An awesome little piece of motion graphics here by Onur Senturk. He's done plenty of other amazing work too, check his site here.

CHRISTIAN VENNERSTRØM JENSEN: TWO

Some amazing shots here from Christian Vennerstrøm Jensen. The colours, angles and textures make it feel very other worldly, with a very tasty dark edge. I love it. Check out the whole series here.
